linia 2008-09-07 WYSOKIE MAZOWIECKIE

On September 5, 2008, the students of the 3rd year of the Mechanics Technical School within the Center of Professional Education in Wysokie Mazowieckie have cleaned up the local Jewish cemetery. This initiative dates back to the year 2007, and was initiated by one of the teachers of the CPE in Wysokie Mazowieckie.
In 2006 the cemetery was commemorated and partially fenced by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, thanks to the support of Michael Traison and Marvin Brooks.
A monument in memory of the Jewish community was erected on the cemetery and a first part of the fence surrounding the cemetery was built (including a large and a small gate), the cemetery grounds were cleaned up and the fallen matzevot were up righted.
