linia 2022-05-25 Plans of renovation of Holocaust victims monument in Ciechanów.

A representative of FODZ together with Mr. Albert Kava and Mrs. Beth Kava, representing the descendants of the former Jewish community of Ciechanów, paid a visit to this town on May 25, 2022, during which they met with representatives of the City Hall and with local social activist, Mr. Jan Remigiusz Morwaski. During the meeting at the City Hall and a joint visit to the Jewish cemetery, it was agreed that in the near future cooperation will be undertaken between FODZ, descendants of the former Jewish community of Ciechanów and local authorities, the aim of which is to renovate the monument to the victims of the mass murder committed during the Holocaust on members of the local Jewish community by the hands of the German occupiers. At the same time, it was agreed that steps would be taken to commemorate the former Jewish community of Ciechanów. We take this opportunity to once again express our warm appreciation to Mr. Jan Morawski for the many years of care he offers over the area of the Jewish cemetery in Ciechanów.
