On April 28, 2022, after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic, the March of the Living was held again as part of commemorations of the Holocaust Remembrance Day. Its participants went from the area of the former German Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz – to the Birkenau extermination camp. Along with young people from Israel, Poland and other countries the March was also attended by a group of refugees from Ukraine. An important element was also the participation of a group of several dozen representatives from Arab countries and a group of one hundred Arab youth from Israel. This year, President Andrzej Duda also participated in the March of the Living.
