Who are we

K. Wierzgon Middle School No.1 in Bierun.

What we do in the project

From February 25th we’ll be realizing the project as a Webquest which consist in finding and documenting the traces of Jewish community in our town. The final effect of the students’ work will be a website fully designed and made by them.
 Task No.1: The students gather photographic evidence of places connected with Jews from Bierun and present them as an internet photo gallery.
 Task No.2: The students gather and document (in writing as well as in audiovisual way – photos, audio recordings) the reports of the witnesses and the interviews with the oldest residents of the town about the history of the local Jews.
 Task No.3: The students find and elaborate in writing the information about material traces of the Jewish community in our town.
 Task No.4: The students write a quiz for internauts about history of Jewish community in Bierun.
 Task No.5: The students make a town plan with marked places connected with Jewish residents of the town.
 Task No.6: The students make an advertisement spot which aims at persuading the local community about the need of preservation and memory of places connected with Jews in our town.
 Task No.7: In the end all of the participants make an internet website which will present the effects of their combined work.
